Born in 1980, Tasha June Villarreal-Hutchins grew up in California before moving back to Kansas in middle school, where they reconnected with their Cherokee roots and the traditions that would later inspire their art.

After serving 15 years in the U.S. military, Tasha June found healing and self-expression through art. In 2015, at the recommendation of their VA therapist, they discovered ceramics as a form of art therapy, a creative practice that soon evolved into a deep passion.

A decade later, their work now reflects a powerful fusion of their Native American heritage and their newly discovered Mexican ancestry, celebrating identity, balance, and transformation through earth and fire. Each piece they create carries a story of heritage, healing, and the enduring connection between culture and creativity.
